There is Al-Masjid Al Haram in Mecca…..and there is the Dirar Mosque in Mecca

((And those who made a mosque out of harm, disbelief, and division among the believers, and as a shelter for those who had waged war on Allah and His Messenger before, and let them swear, if We will. No, the best, and Allah bears witness that they are liars. {107} Never stand therein a mosque that was founded on piety from the first day. They love to be purified, by Allah He loves the purified. {108} Is he who founded his building on fear of Allah and His approval better, or he who founded his building on the brink of a hot cliff and it collapses with him in the The fire of hell. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. {109} Their structure which they built will never cease to cause doubt in their hearts unless their hearts are torn apart. And Allah is All-Knowing, Judge. Yum }

First, we will go to the interpretation of these verses from the heritage books.

The hypocrites who built a mosque; Harmful to the believers and disbelief in Allah and division among the believers, so that some of them may pray in it and leave the mosque (Quba) in which the Muslims pray, so the Muslims will disagree and disperse because of that, and in anticipation of the one who fought Allah and His Messenger before – who is Abu Amer the immoral monk – to be a place for plotting against the Muslims, and for these hypocrites to swear that they will By building it, they intended nothing but goodness and kindness to Muslims and to provide relief to the weak and unable to walk to the Quba Mosque. And Allah bears witness that they are liars about what they swear to do. The mosque was demolished and burned.

Do not, O Prophet, pray in that mosque ever; The mosque that was founded on piety from the first day – which is the Quba Mosque – is more appropriate for you to stand up to pray in it, because in this mosque there are men who like to purify themselves with water from impurities and filth, just as they purify themselves with piety and seeking forgiveness from sins and transgressions. And Allah loves those who are pure. If the Quba Mosque was founded on piety from the first day, then the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was likewise founded in the first and most likely way.

Whoever establishes his building on the fear of Allah, obedience to Him, and pleasing Him, and whoever establishes his building on the edge of a crumbling pit, will fall and build a mosque that will cause harm, disbelief, and division among Muslims, and that will lead him to fall into the fire of Hell. And Allah does not guide the unjust people abusers borders.

The building of the hypocrites, which they built to harm the Quba Mosque, continues to cause doubt and hypocrisy to remain in their hearts, until their hearts are torn apart by their killing or death, or by their extreme remorse, their repentance to their Allah, and their extreme fear of Him. Allah is All-Knowing of the doubts these hypocrites have and what they intended in their construction. He is Wise in managing the affairs of His creation.

¤¤¤ As for a summary of the story of Dirar Mosque from the biography books ¤¤¤

Allah Almighty made mosques to unify the word of Muslims in the supreme word of Allah, which is the worship of the One, All-Powerful Allah, not associating anything with Him. Allah set an example with the mosque that was founded on hypocrisy to divide the word of Muslims and ordered its demolition, in Surat Al-Tawbah, which is the story known as the “Dirar” Mosque.

The summary of the story is that the Banu Amr bin Awf took the Quba Mosque, and they sent to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to come to them. He came to them and prayed in it, but a group of hypocrites from the Banu Ghanam bin Awf envied them, so they said: We build a mosque and pray in it and we do not attend the group of Muhammad, and they were twelve men. It was said: Fifteen men, including: Tha’labah bin Hatib, U’tab bin Qushayr, and Nabtal bin Al-Harith, so they built a mosque next to the Quba Mosque.

When they built it, they came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was preparing for Tabuk, and they said: “O Messenger of Allah, we have built a mosque for those who suffer from sickness, need, rainy nights, and cold nights, and we would love for you to come to us and pray in it for us and pray for blessings.”

They wanted to invite Abu Amer the monk to pray there so that they would increase their virtue over their brothers. He was the one whom the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, called “the immoral one.” The Prophet said to him: “I do not find a people fighting you except that I fight you with them,” and the Prophet did not stop fighting him until the day of Hunayn. Where Hawazin was defeated, which made him flee to the Levant, then he sent his message to the hypocrites, saying: “Prepare with whatever strength and weapons you are able, for I am going to Caesar and bringing soldiers, and the exit of Muhammad and his companions from Medina.”

So the hypocrites, following Abu Amir’s message, built the Dirar Mosque near the Quba Mosque, and then they said to the Messenger: “We built a mosque for those who suffer from sickness, need, and rainy and cold nights, and we would love for you to pray for us in it and pray for blessings for us.” So the Messenger said to them: “I am on a journey while traveling.” Work, and when we come, Allah willing, we will pray in it.”

When the Messenger of Allah departed from the Battle of Tabuk, The hypocrites asked him to go to their mosque, so the revelation came down to the Prophet in the Almighty’s words: “And those who take a mosque are harm and disbelief and division among the believers and as a shelter for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger. Before: And let them swear that We intend nothing but the best, and Allah bears witness that they are liars. (107) Never stay therein. “A mosque that was founded on piety from the first day is more deserving of you standing in it. In it are men who love to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who purify themselves.” (108)

So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, called for the demolition of that mosque. He said to some of the Companions: “Go to this mosque whose people are oppressive and demolish it and burn it.” So they carried out what the Messenger had ordered them to do, and he later ordered that they replace its place with a sweeper into which garbage and carcasses would be thrown. It was also mentioned in the Holy Qur’an regarding the matter of this mosque, the Almighty, saying: “It is not for the polytheists to inhabit the mosques of Allah, witnessing against themselves in disbelief. Those whose works are worthless, and in the Fire.” “They are immortal.”

Who are the ones who built the mosque?

The Dirar Mosque was built by twelve people from the hypocrites, namely Khudham bin Khalid, who belongs to the Banu Ubaid bin Zaid. Al-Shaqqaq Mosque was removed from his home, and Tha’labah bin Hatib, who belongs to the Banu Ubaid and belongs to the Banu Umayyah bin Zaid, and Miteb bin Qushayr, who belongs to the Banu Dubayah bin Zaid, and Abu Habibah bin Al-A’hab, who is also from the Banu Dubayah bin Zaid, and Abbad bin Hanif, who is from the Banu Amr. Bin Awf, Jariyah bin Amer, Majma’ bin Jariyah, Zaid bin Jariyah, Nabtil bin Al-Harith, Bahzj, and Bagjad bin Othman, who belong to the Banu Dhaba’ah, and Wadi’ah bin Thabit, who belongs to the Banu Umayyah, Rahat Abu Lubabah bin Abdul-Mundhir.

The Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “I am on a journey, and if we come, we will come to you, Allah willing, and we will pray for you therein.” When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, departed from Tabuk, the verse was revealed to him regarding the mosque.

The wisdom of the story of Dirar Mosque

During the era of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the hypocrites carried out disgraceful acts to divide the believers, and among those things they did was the construction of the “Dirar Mosque”, which was the mosque that was built for Abu Amer, who was known as Abu Amer the Monk, who was a Christian in the pre-Islamic era and the polytheists used to venerate him. When the Prophet of Allah came with the call to Islam, he fled to the infidels, and a group of hypocrites worked to build that mosque, and their intention in building it was for Abu Amer, and their intention was not to please Allah and His Messenger.

So Allah revealed about it, “Never stay in it,” so the Prophet demolished it and burned it, for it is a private mosque, and it is condemned and not rewarded, and like it is every mosque built for ostentation, hypocrisy, or reputation, or for a purpose other than seeking the face of Allah Almighty, or with bad money, but it is not a truly harmful mosque. Until it is demolished and burned, the “Dirar Mosque” was special during the era of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

What is Quba Mosque?

Quba Mosque is in the southwest of Medina, five kilometers from the Prophet’s Mosque. It is the first mosque built in Islam. This was when the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – arrived in Medina as an immigrant from Mecca, and his mount landed in Quba. So he chose it as a site to build the mosque in the place where his she-camel blessed, and there was a well in it for the great companion Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari. It is worth noting that the Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him – was the first to place a stone in his qibla, then Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq – may Allah be pleased with him – came and placed another stone. Then Omar bin Al-Khattab – may Allah be pleased with him – did as Abu Bakr did, and the people after them began to build and were filled with joy until they completed that mosque, which was founded on piety.

Al-Shumus bint Numan narrated that the Messenger of Allah – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – used to bring a stone that he had stuck to his stomach and place it, and then a man would come and want to pick it up but he could not, until he – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – ordered him to leave it and take another one, and after the mosque was built, Allah praised him. May Allah bless the people of Quba. Where he said in Surat Al-Tawbah: (A mosque that was founded on piety from the first day is more deserving of you standing in it. In it are men who love to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who purify themselves.)

It is worth noting: The Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – distinguished Quba Mosque from other mosques. He used to visit it every Saturday and pray there, and this custom has remained among the people of the city to this day.

The Mosque of Taqwa The scholars differed regarding the mosque that was founded on piety. Some scholars said that it is the Quba Mosque, and among those who hold this view are: Ibn Abbas, Al-Hasan, and Al-Dahhak. They cited as evidence for this the Almighty’s saying: (From the first day) since the Quba Mosque was founded in Medina from The first day, and its construction was before the construction of the Prophet’s Mosque, in addition to the hadith of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, where he said: (Among the people of Quba was revealed: “Therein are men who love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves.” He said: They used to cleanse themselves with water, so this verse was revealed about them), as When the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – when the noble verse was revealed, he said to the people of Quba: (O community of Ansar, Allah has praised you for purification, so what is your purification? They said: We perform ablution for prayer, we wash ourselves from impurity, and we clean ourselves with water. He said: So it is that. So you must adhere to it.” This hadith indicates that the mosque mentioned in the verse is the Quba Mosque, and a group of scholars said that the mosque that was founded on piety is the Mosque of Medina.

They supported this with the narration on the authority of Ibn Omar – may Allah be pleased with him – when he was asked about the mosque that was founded on piety, and he said: (The Mosque of Medina). Al-Dirar Mosque. Scholars have defined damage; That which brings benefit to a person and brings harm to his neighbor, and as for harm; It does not bring benefit to a person and brings harm to others, and what Allah Almighty says about a mosque is intended to cause harm. The people of the mosque were the ones who damaged it, not the mosque itself. After the Quba Mosque was built, Banu Amr ibn Awf resided in it, and then they sent to the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – to pray in it. He came and prayed in it, and Banu Ghanam ibn Awf envied them, and they built a mosque, then they sent to Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him; To come to them and pray there as he prayed in Quba Mosque.

now

Why is this story false?!

Let us clarify some of the mistakes made by the author of this story.

Who built Quba Mosque? Was the Messenger the one who built the mosque, or was it the Bani Awf tribe?!

There is an unclear picture. Sometimes it is said that at the time of the Prophet’s migration from Mecca to Medina, in the area south of Medina, he laid the foundation stone for the Quba Mosque, and sometimes it is as if he wanted to say that the one who built it was Bani Awf.

But the story seems to indicate that the Messenger laid the foundation stone for the Quba Mosque, then he continued his journey to Medina and it was built, and he stayed in the Bani Awf Mosque, then they sent for the Messenger to come and pray in it.

Agreed

But when did they send him to pray there?!

He is supposed to pray in the Quba Mosque in the first year. It is the first mosque built in the city, and as soon as they complete its construction, they will ask the Messenger to pray in it.

good

Now with us is the tribe of Omar ibn Awf in the Quba Mosque, and at the same time there are hypocrites from the descendants of their uncle Ghanam ibn Awf. They saw the situation in the first year while the Messenger was praying in the Quba Mosque, and they were envying them, so they built the Dirar Mosque next to the Quba Mosque until… Do not be with the followers of Muhammad… so divide the people.

But the Qur’an does not say that the Dirar Mosque was built out of envy.

But the logical question is: If these hypocrites built a mosque out of envy, but envy of those who are hypocrites?! ……. Do they envy their cousins (Omar bin Awf) because the Messenger whom they hate and do not follow prayed in their mosque, but if the hypocrites hate the Messenger, how can they build a mosque in order to ask the Messenger to pray in it?!

■ But the story is confusing and has another statement that contradicts the first statement

It says that there was a man named Abu Amer Al-Rahib, who was nicknamed the Fasiq, and the Messenger had fought him in the Battle of Hunayn, so he fled to the Levant and a year later, i.e. in the year (9 AH)… i.e. 9 years after the construction of the Dirar Mosque. He sent a message to the group of hypocrites in Medina saying:

“Prepare with whatever strength and weapons you can, for I am going to Caesar and bringing soldiers, and I will expel Muhammad and his companions from Medina.”

An immoral person and he sent a message to his group to prepare with force and weapons because he was coming to them with soldiers to expel Muhammad and his companions from Medina.

The logical question is: How is it possible that a hypocritical group received an order from its leader to prepare with weapons and force in order to expel Muhammad and his companions, so the group decided to build a mosque and asked him to come to pray in it?!

Did they build the mosque in order to ask Muhammad to go there to pray because they wanted to assassinate him inside the mosque, for example?!

But the process of killing Muhammad does not require building a mosque and asking him to come to it to pray to kill him. The issue is simple. They invite him to come to their house and kill him…. So why this difficult scenario?!

Ok, now we have two stories… about Dirar Mosque:

The first says that it was built out of envy of the hypocrites, and the second says that its construction came after an order from a person named Al-Fasiq for the hypocrites to prepare with weapons to expel Muhammad and his companions.

The logical question…. What is the reason for building Dirar Mosque and when was Dirar Mosque built? Is it in the year 1 AH or in the year 9 AH?!

Because this explanation and the difficulty the writer of the story has in explaining the reasons for building the Dirar Mosque do not make sense… and this confusion in the year of its construction does not make sense.

The story took place in the year 9 AH, that is, after the Battle of Tabuk, according to the biography of Ibn Hisham and Ibn Ishaq and the rest of the biography books… and the hypocrites needed 9 years after building the Quba Mosque.

what is the secrete ?!

Let’s think logically

The writer of the story tried to make up a story in order to reconcile the descriptions that Allah described as a mosque (harm, disbelief, division, and weathering).

If the writer of the story were satisfied with the story of the monk, the question would be: What is the relationship between fighting Allah and His Messenger and the division between believers?!

So he invented the story of envy, in order to create two groups of Muslims instead of one mosque for prayer.

While the Messenger was going to Tabuk, their message came to him. He said that he was busy after returning from his trip, and after his return, a message came to him from them… so the Qur’anic verses were revealed.

Question: Why was the Qur’an not revealed at the beginning during the first message they sent to the Messenger while he was traveling to Tabuk?! … Why was the revelation not revealed until after his return… Since the Qur’an was revealed to the Messenger and he was addressing him around the mosque, due to the importance of the topic, it would be better for the revelation to be revealed to him at their first message?!

But the issue may be interference in the affairs of revelation, and it should not be

Now… a message came to the Messenger after his return from Tabuk that he should go to Dirar Mosque… and the Qur’an will be revealed to the Messenger… and we will follow exactly with the speech of the Qur’an to the Messenger… because the Messenger will carry out what the revelation commanded to the letter without any addition or Decrease.

Did the Qur’an order the Messenger to demolish the Dirar Mosque, as the biographical books said?!

no

Did the Qur’an tell us that the Dirar Mosque is finished?!

No..it still stands

If the story of the biography is correct, then it is assumed that the Qur’an addresses the Messenger about this mosque only, and there is no need to make a comparison with another mosque.

This means that the Qur’an is supposed to say:

Do not stay in it, demolish the mosque, a mosque built on corruption

But why does the Qur’an insist on making a comparison between it and another mosque?!

Because this insistence indicates the presence of confusion in the Messenger, and the Qur’an removes this confusion.

Meaning

Why does the Qur’an refer to the Messenger with the phrase “A mosque that was founded on piety from the first day is more deserving of standing in it”?!

This reference is like a time scale for the Messenger to compare… between a modern mosque and an ancient mosque built from the first day on earth.

But the story of the biography tried to circumvent this reference, with the story of the Quba Mosque, which was the first mosque built in the city.

But the logical question is: If the revelation came to the Messenger in Medina not to perform in the Dirar Mosque, but rather to perform in the Quba Mosque located next to it, which was founded on piety… then it is assumed that the Messenger carried out the revelation.

But that didn’t happen…just send someone to destroy it

Also the logical question: If he was in Medina and the revelation commanded him not to stand there… then why would he address him about the Quba Mosque located next to it, unless the Messenger had been in that place and had offered him the choice between praying in this mosque or the Dirar Mosque… and The Qur’an asks him to pray in Quba Mosque.

Also… since the Qur’an asks the Messenger to stand in the Quba Mosque because it was founded on piety from the first day… then the question is: Was it not better that the revelation commanded the Messenger to stand in Al-Masjid Al Haram in Mecca or his mosque that was built by the Prophet’s Mosque?!

Does this mean that Al-Masjid Al Haram in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque were not founded on piety from the first day… and the real mosque is Quba?!

I believe that the story of the Quba Mosque was created to get out of the impasse found in the Qur’an’s speech…so the biographer invented the story of the Quba Mosque and that the Messenger built it when he first entered the city, for one purpose only, in order to get out of the impasse in this verse {for a mosque founded on piety from the first day}

Why ?!

Because if he had not invented the story of the Quba Mosque, then what is the mosque that was founded on piety from the first day?!

If he made the story without the Quba Mosque, or made the story without the idea of migration and confined it to Mecca, he would not be able to write a story for a new religion. The matter would be difficult?!

The Qur’an does not understand people’s stories as separate stories, each story not connected to the other. It is one message for the Messenger and for the people, all connected and in one context.

Since the Qur’an tells the Messenger {to a mosque founded on piety from the first day}, it is a very clear message that the issue is related to a mosque that existed before the Dirar Mosque, an ancient mosque that was a qibla for the people. Why?!

Because the Qur’an addresses the Messenger clearly that the issue is related to the qiblah and that there are those who created a new and modern qiblah for the people instead of the first old qiblah that was established from the first day towards Al-Masjid Al Haram.

{So, We will turn to you a direction that pleases you – so turn your face towards Al-Masjid Al Haram, and wherever you are, turn your faces towards it. Indeed, those who were given the Book know that it is the truth from their Allah, and Allah is not unaware of what they do.}

Rather, the Qur’an explains to us the name of the place where the building that was founded for the people from the first day is located and is located in a place called (Bakkah) and not (Mecca).

{Indeed, the first House established for mankind is the one in Bakkah, blessed and a guidance for the worlds. (96) In it are clear signs, the standing place of Ibrahim.

Notice….And whoever disbelieves, Allah is Self-sufficient of the worlds

There are those who disbelieved in Al-Masjid Al Haram in Mecca, and created the Dirar Mosque, and disbelieved in Al-Masjid Al Haram located in Mecca… the first mosque that was founded on piety from the first day.

In the past there was a mosque in Bakkah… the first mosque founded on piety… and there was a group that disbelieved in it… and made the Dirar Mosque in disbelief in Al-Masjid Al Haram in Bakkah… and the Qur’an orders the Messenger not to stay in a mosque. Dirar… Rather, in Al-Masjid Al Haram in Mecca, the first correct qiblah was changed by a group disbelieving in Allah in order to harm and divide the believers.

But where is this mosque located?

{And it is He who withheld their hands from you, and your hands from them in the interior of Mecca, after He had given you victory over them, and Allah is ever Seeing of what you do. (24) They are the ones who disbelieved and turned you away from Al-Masjid Al Haram, while the sacrificial animal was withheld until it reached its place. And had it not been for believing men and believing women, you had not taught them that you should tread on them, and a disgrace befall you from them without knowledge, so that it might enter. Allah is in His mercy whom He wills. If they were removed, We would surely have punished those who disbelieved among them with a painful punishment. (25) When those who disbelieved put in their hearts the fever of ignorance, then Allah sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers, and made them obligated to the word of piety, and they were more deserving of it and its people. And Allah is All-Knowing of all things. (26) Allah has spoken the truth. His Messenger has seen the vision with truth. You will certainly enter Al-Masjid Al Haram, Allah willing, in safety, with your heads shaved and cut short. Do not be afraid. He knew what you did not know, so He made apart from that a conquest soon. (27) It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religions. And Allah is sufficient as a witness. (28) Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and those with him. They are harsh against the infidels, merciful among themselves. You see them kneeling down and prostrating, seeking bounty from Allah and His pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the effect of prostration. That is their likeness in the Torah and their likeness in the Enjil as a seed that has brought forth its shoots, so I grow it, and it grows thick and becomes firm on its stems, admiring the growers, that He may enrage the unbelievers with them. Allah has promised forgiveness and a great reward to those who believe and do righteous deeds from among them. 29)}

There is Al-Masjid Al Haram in Mecca…..and there is the Dirar Mosque in Mecca

They made a modern mosque in Mecca to be a new qibla for Muslims instead of the old Grand Mosque in Mecca… to be a mosque of harm, division, and protection for those who fought against Allah and his religion.

There is a Dirar Mosque in Mecca…they made it to keep people away from Al-Masjid Al Haram in Mecca.

There is a modern qibla they made in Mecca…instead of the old qibla in Mecca.

And now…. the Muslim will understand the speech of the Qur’an well, after they wrote for the Muslim that contradictory and strange story, the story of Mecca, Medina, and the Quba Mosque, which tried to present to the Muslim a false and false interpretation to the reciters so that the speech of the Qur’an would not reach the Muslim and would not understand the global game. The devilishness within this nation:

{The foolish among the people will say, “What has turned them away from the qiblah they used to follow?” Say, “To Allah belongs the east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a straight path.” (142) And thus We made you a moderate nation that you might be witnesses over the people, and that the Messenger might be a witness over you. We did not make the qiblah that you used to follow except that We might distinguish who follows the Messenger from who turns away. upon his heels, even if it is a hardship, except for those whom Allah has guided. And Allah would not make your faith to be lost. Indeed, Allah is with people, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. (143) We may see the turning of your face in the sky. We will certainly turn you to a qiblah that pleases you. So turn your face toward Al-Masjid Al Haram, and wherever you are, turn your faces toward it. Indeed, those who were given the Book know that it is the truth. from their Allah, and Allah is not unaware of what they do. (144) And if you brought to those who were given the Book every sign, they would not follow your qiblah, nor will you follow their qiblah, nor will some of them follow the qiblah of others. And if you were to follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, then you would surely be of the wrongdoers. (145) Those to whom We have given the Book recognize it just as They know their children, but a group of them conceal the truth while they know (146) The truth is from your Allah, so do not be of those who doubt. (147) And for every destination, He is its Master, so race toward good deeds. Wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together. Indeed, Allah has power over all things.
