Credit and grace in our culture.
I had a favor over you. did you forget ?
This sentence is famous in our culture and is often said during disagreements or times of reckoning in our societies.
Religion has tried to treat this culture by saying: Grace and favor belong to Allah… Allah is the ideal in human consciousness in our society, and He has many names. This ideal prevents a person from being enslaved by another person under the pretext of favor, credit, power, or wealth. Or knowledge or ability… there is an ideal in the Muslim’s consciousness… which is the strong, the rich, the capable, and the generous.
In our popular culture, the concept of interest has a negative meaning. We say about a man that he is self-interested as a slander, because it means that the man is greedy and selfish, so it has become a disgusting term, and we lose sight of the concept of common interest, and therefore we cannot define our interests well. We look at any work. According to the logic of virtue and not mutual common interest.
In our language, we believe that any action is an action emanating from one thing and heading towards something else and ends…the reaction is absent…the concept of action and reaction is almost absent…and perhaps this has been reflected in our awareness of making common interests absent in our speeches.
One day I read an article by a writer, and the truth is that I do not know the validity of some of the information that was contained in it. He says that the word “fadl” does not exist in the dictionaries of other languages. It is the only word found in the Arabic language. In fact, I searched briefly in English for a word that is synonymous with the meaning of the word “fadl,” but I did not find it.
A few days ago… I read an article by an Omani writer and an Iraqi writer asking readers not to forget Yemen in the victory of Aleppo, because Yemen had a role in this victory, and I saw the comments that spread and moved into history and the relations of many countries… A problem. A truth among everyone.. The truth was a little upset, not because their words were wrong or offensive, but because the language was not sound, and it became necessary to reform that language and reform concepts to get out of the continuous circle of confusion that surrounds us every day.
When you work for someone, it is not a favor, but a shared interest. You got something and he got something at the same time. Action and reaction….a common interest. And when you work in a Gulf country, it is not a favor, but rather something in exchange for something. You get money in exchange for work, if we exclude an interest that is absent from you regarding the Gulf countries’ focus on workers from somewhere for an interest that is absent from you.
Common interests.
When Misr supported the Algerian revolution…it was not a favor from Misr but rather a common interest…Misr’s support for Algeria is an action and a reaction…and because our interests are common, Misr’s support for Algeria is essentially an Egyptian interest…for the sake of Misr’s interest, Because it will reflect on Misr’s interest and support it more, and because Algeria obtaining Egyptian support is essentially an Algerian interest, it will become Algeria’s interest to support Misr, and Misr will support Algeria.
The interests are common and the battle is the same
Yemen’s standing with Syria is not a favor, but an interest for Yemen and at the same time it is in the interest of Syria, and Syria’s support for Yemen is a Syrian interest and at the same time it is in the interest of Yemen.
The interests are common and the battle is the same.
Yemen, in its war against Saudi Arabia and defending itself, is essentially a Yemeni interest and at the same time an interest for Syria because it exhausts Saudi Arabia, which supports the devastation in Syria.
The interests are common and the battle is the same
The entry of the Syrian army into Aleppo is in the interest of Yemen, Misr, Algeria, and Iraq…and when any country supports Syria in the battle of Aleppo, other than political, media, or military support, it is essentially support for itself, a self-interest before it is support for Syria or an interest for Syria. .
The interests are common and the battle is the same
Therefore, it is wrong to speak in the language of credit for the simple reason that it is a wrong idea…faulty logic, and also the amount of support called (favor) cannot be measured by the balance of money or the effect to obtain the return, because the process is mutual…shared interests…. One battle.
According to the words of a German politician I heard in an interview on YouTube, he said that one of the problems of the Arabs is that they do not understand their interests well and abandon many interests due to the absence and misuse of the concept of interest.
Therefore, the successful policy of countries… is the policy that is based on a good awareness of their interests and at the same time is well aware of the interests of others.
Our world today is based on two policies:
1- A policy based on common interests (partnership) that takes into account countries, peoples and their particularities.
2- A political system based on one interest (hegemony) that does not respect anyone’s greed, selfishness, and brutality, and produces devastation and destruction, even at the expense of peoples.
The American thinker heralded the clash of civilizations, and another thinker responded to him by saying that it is a clash of interests, which is a struggle between hegemony and partnership, between the common interests of our peoples and the interests of the dominant powers.
Al-Maarri, the philosopher of poets, says: People belong to people, whether nomad or urban, to one another, even if they do not reach one another, they serve.
Everyone serves the other, everyone serves each other… and only those who emerged from the culture of virtue and favor (the culture of the House of Saud) that wants to enslave peoples realize this fact.
