{Then if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to you, then ask those who read the Book before you. Indeed, the truth has come to you from your Allah, so do not be of those who doubt.}
Who are these people who were reading the book before the Messenger?
{And when We sent to you a group of the jinn to listen to the Qur’an. Then when they attended it, they said, “Listen. Then when it was finished, they turned back to their people as warnings. (29) They said, ‘O our people, indeed we have heard a book revealed after Musa, confirming what was before it, guiding to the truth and to a straight path.’”
The Messenger after Musa, meaning that Musa was before the Messenger, and Musa was given the Book.
{And We gave Musa the Book after We had destroyed the first generations, as insight for mankind and guidance and mercy so that they might remember.}
This means, logically, that Musa was among those who read the book from the Messenger.
{So ask those who read the Book before you}
How did Musa read the book?!
Musa was reading the book in Arabic
{And before it is the Book of Musa, a guide and a mercy, and this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue, to warn those who do wrong and to bring good news to the doers of good.}
Because it is essentially one book, with one language, one Allah, and one religion.
{A Book whose verses are explained in detail. Our reciters are Arabic for a people who know. The tongue of the one to whom they insist is foreign, and this is a clear Arabic language.} {And this Qur’an was not forged by anyone other than Allah, but the confirmation of what is before it and the elaboration of the Book. There is no doubt about it from Allah, the worlds.}
{Say: Who sent down the Book which Musa brought as a light and a guidance for the people? You make it into writings that you reveal and conceal much, and you taught what neither you nor your fathers knew. Say, Allah. Then leave them in their midst playing. (91) And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed be it, confirming what is before it, and that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it and those who believe in the Hereafter. They believe in Him and they guard their prayers (92)}
